StrataCTX
Silicone gel for treating dry skin and skin rashes
Description
StrataCTX is a semi-occlusive, self-drying transparent gel. It can be applied directly to dry skin, open wounds and compromised or damaged skin surfaces, including skin rashes. StrataCTX gel is bacteriostatic and inert. It does not contain alcohols, parabens or fragrances.
StrataCTX is a transparent film that allows users to monitor therapy progress without removing the dressing. When used as directed, StrataCTX creates a protective film layer that is vapour-permeable, waterproof, hydrating and protects compromised skin areas and superficial wounds from chemical and microbial invasion.
Self-drying, non-adhesive gel that gently adheres to wounds or newly formed granulation tissue. Helps create a moist environment for compromised skin areas and superficial wounds, leading to faster re-epithelialisation and reduced inflammatory response.
Benefits
- Relieves low-grade inflammatory changes such as dry and irritated skin prone to itching, peeling and flaking
- For more severe inflammatory changes, reduces pain, redness and warmth or burning sensation
- Contact flexible gel
Can be used with or without a secondary protective dressing. Suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.
StrataCTX is ideal for large areas and contoured body parts such as the head, face, hands, legs, as well as joints and hairy areas without the need for shaving.

Application instructions
Ensure the affected skin or superficial wound is clean. Apply a very thin layer of StrataCTX directly to the affected area and allow the gel to dry.
Apply StrataCTX once or twice daily to exposed areas or as directed by a physician. When dry, you can apply sunscreen, cosmetics or clothing over StrataCTX.
For best results, StrataCTX should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day / 7 days a week). If properly applied, StrataCTX should be dry in 5–6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry, you have probably applied too much. Gently remove excess with a clean tissue or gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
