DURAFIBER Ag

Highly absorbent non-woven antimicrobial cellulose fibre dressing

Description

Ionic silver in the dressing provides antimicrobial action against a wide spectrum of wound pathogens, reducing bacterial burden and the risk of infection.

DURAFIBER Ag quickly forms a gel on contact with exudate, gently conforming to the wound shape. This gel absorbs exudate and "locks" it away from the wound, providing a moist environment and supporting autolytic debridement.

Thanks to its unique property of maintaining integrity even after absorbing exudate, DURAFIBER Ag is removed in one piece, ensuring minimal trauma for the patient and safe removal of the entire dressing without residue, which is especially important for managing cavities and deeper wounds.

DURAFIBER Ag can be used in combination with a wide range of dressings such as ALLEVYN and the PROFORE multi-layer compression bandage system.

DURAFIBER Ag can be used under OPSITE transparent adhesive film for wounds with lower exudation.
