ACTICOAT Flex 3

• Fast acting – kills bacteria in just 30 minutes (in vitro)

Indicated for use on partial and full thickness wounds:

• First and second degree burns
• Graft coverage
• Surgical wounds
• Venous ulcers
• Pressure ulcers

Wherever necessary, wound cleansing should be performed according to local clinical protocol. DO NOT USE saline solution.

1. Using sterile technique, remove the ACTICOAT Flex 3 dressing from the packaging.
2. If necessary, cut the dressing to the desired shape. When used with compression therapy, the dressing must be cut to match the size and shape of the wound.
3. Moisten the dressing according to local clinical protocol by fully immersing it and then gently squeezing out excess (DO NOT USE saline solution). Allow excess water to drain before application. Alternatively, a thin layer of hydrogel product such as INTRASITE gel can be applied directly to the wound and/or the dressing.
4. Place the ACTICOAT Flex 3 dressing without stretching, with either side facing up, on the wound surface ensuring no creases. The dressing should be applied so that the stretch direction runs parallel along the extremity. ACTICOAT Flex 3 dressing can be used as wound filler.
5. Secure the ACTICOAT Flex 3 dressing with an appropriate secondary dressing or compression therapy to maintain a moist wound environment. For heavily exuding wounds, an absorbent secondary dressing is needed. Dressing change depends on exudate levels and wound condition. The dressing can remain on the wound for up to 3 days.
